Ghusel Secondary School

Ghusel Secondary School, established in 1960, is located in Ghusel VDC in Lalitpur district. It is 30 km away from Kathmandu. It runs classes from nursery to grade ten. Today, it has altogether 220 students with 11 academic staff members.

Prior to the earthquake, the school had 14 classrooms. Out of them seven had been damaged by the earthquake. As the school needed at least two more classrooms to conduct its regular operations, it requested us for the help.

We supported the school to add two rooms to help the school conduct classes there. We had signed a MoU with the school on March 3, 2016 to reconstruct/renovate construction of two rooms of the school building. The project was expected to be completed by the mid of July of 2016 but we completed on May 20, 2016. This project was financially supported by Global Giving/Santi School Project.
