Swet Baraha Secondary School

Swet Baraha Secondary School is in Tukuchha VDC, now in Banepa-2, Kavre. It is 35km away from Kathmandu. It was established in 1983. It runs classes up to 12th standard with 465 students and 15 teachers.

As a part of our “Post Earthquake Reconstruction/Renovation of Schools 2015-16”, we had signed a MoU with Swet Baraha Secondary School, Tukuchha VDC, now in Banepa-2, Kavre district  on March 20, 2017 to reconstruct/renovate construction of two rooms of the school building. The project has been completed on 23 June, 2017.

This is the nineteenth of 22 schools that is receiving our support in its effort to get back on its feet from the effect of earthquake.

Introduction

Swet Baraha Secondary School is in Tukuchha VDC, Kavre. It is 35km away from Kathmandu. It was established in 1983. It runs classes up to 12th standard with 465 students and 15 teachers.

Need

The school had 12 rooms altogether out of which two rooms have been damaged. The school is in the state of good number of students but fewer classes. So, it is in urgent need of two more classrooms.

Solution

We supported to reconstruct/renovate two rooms to help them run classes in favourable situation.
